Dnyaneshwar Shewale

District Governor

A visionary leader, an accomplished professional, and a devoted Rotarian—Dnyaneshwar Shewale, fondly known as Nana.

Born on 8th December 1967, Nana comes from a humble and grounded background. He completed his schooling at Rungta High School and went on to excel academically, earning admission into the prestigious College of Pharmacy, Nashik—today ranked among the Top 10 Pharmacy Colleges in India.

A consistent academic topper, Nana pursued both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Pharmacy from the same institution, affiliated with Pune University. His academic journey is a testament to his unshakable devotion and sincerity—values that continue to define his professional and Rotary journey.

Nana began his career with Glenmark Pharmaceuticals in Nashik, working in the Research and Development department. His expertise in formulation science and innovation made him a valuable contributor. However, he soon chose to return to his roots and join the family-run Samarth Juice Centre, founded by his father in the early 1970s.

Bringing scientific precision to the juice business, Nana introduced automation and developed standard operating procedures that ensured consistent taste and quality—most notably, the iconic Pineapple Juice that has become a timeless favourite across Nashik. Under his leadership, the business grew from a modest single outlet to four thriving branches in the city.

What truly sets Nana apart is his friendly, down-to-earth personality. Despite his achievements, he remains deeply grounded and leads by example—working closely with team members at every level, encouraging them, inspiring them, and helping them turn shared goals into collective success.

Nana’s Rotary journey began in the Centennial Year of 2004. Within just a few years, he earned multiple recognitions at the club level. In 2010, he played a pivotal role in chartering Rotary Club of Nasik North and served as its Charter Secretary. This was no ordinary club—under his vision, it maintained a youthful average age of just 36 years and introduced dynamic, impactful projects such as:

A motorbike rally from Nashik to Nagpur for Polio Eradication Awareness,

ZEP – a unique event dedicated to children with special needs

Artificial Limbs Distribution Camps

Water trolley distribution in tribal regions during peak summer months.

Following his presidency, Nana continued his Rotary leadership journey, serving as Assistant Governor, District Secretary, and various key roles. In 2023-24, he was elected District Governor Nominee Designate and is now set to lead Rotary District 3030 in the Rotary year 2025–26.

On the personal front, Nana is happily married to Anupama, the love of his life. They are blessed with two children— Neha, an IT engineer based in the United States, and Akash, who is proudly carrying forward the family’s legacy through the Samarth Juice business.
